What’s up in Student Ministry these days?

As we reflect on this past school year in student ministry at Connexus it’s been amazing to be a part of the growth, life change, action, and adventure that we’ve been able to experience. From the memories and relationships in our small groups, to amazing weekends, to baptisms, to food drives, and an incredible Compassion trip to Guatemala it’s been quite a year! At the heart of it all are the life changing relationships with positive peers, invested small group leaders, and partnering parents—each with the goal of seeing students move into a growing relationships with Jesus Christ.

As we enter the summer we’re excited about the new grade 6s who have officially become a part of our Xtreme environment, and we look forward to having our new grade 9s at InsideOut!

This Summer in Xtreme we are working through a series called “The Red Stuff” all about the words of Jesus and how important they are to our lives.

Grade 8 students are invited to be a part of “Uprising”, a high action August two day event designed to help them transition to InsideOut and prepare them for the first month of high school.

InsideOut continues with a summer schedule of “Monday Night Movies” and a Beach Party! Also, over the summer so many of our students continue to be involved in “Love Moves” by choosing to serve in our Family Ministry environments each Sunday morning!

On top of it all, our student ministry team is dreaming about this Fall and are already excited about what God has in store! It’s going to be an amazing Season 2 in 2010/11.
