So Connexus has been around for over two years now, and I don't think I've been as excited about about anything as I am about the baptisms happening July 25th at Bass Lake.
I know many people thinking about being baptized…I've had so many conversations with so many people. A dozen have already signed up. But here's why I'm posting this: I would love for those of you who are still thinking about it to stop thinking about it and just do it. You can fill out the application right now.
The reason I'm excited for July 25th is that many of those being baptized weren't attending church a year ago. But a friend invited them. They've come into a relationship with Jesus. And now they've made a decision to be baptized. Baptism doesn't accomplish anything – rather's, it's an outward sign of what has happened between you and Christ. And that's why we started the church – we wanted people who were far from God or curious about God to meet Christ.
If you've got even an ounce of sweat equity in the ministry, I'd love for you be there to celebrate. It's just awesome to see lives changed.
So…join the celebration – if you've become a Christian…we'd love to baptize you next month! You can start the process today.
In the meantime, I'm going to keep praying and anticipating a great evening on Sunday, July 25th!
