Game Changers Happen on Long Weekends

What are you up to this weekend?  I'm going to do some stuff around the house, hang out with friends and family, likely some biking and maybe some boating.

How about you?

Most of us are thinking about how we're going to relax.  But I also believe this:  this weekend, people's lives are going to change. People will be processing what's happening at work, at home, in their relationships and even some events on the weekend.  And they're going to be looking for meaning.  For someone to help them find meaning in life.

That's where you come in.

What about bringing someone with you to church on Sunday?  You just never know how God is going to use the moment.  We're bringing our best Sunday (so pumped about the iWish series), but it has more to do with God than with us.  I've preached on tithing before and had people surrender their lives to Christ (and no, we're not preaching on tithing this weekend…that's just a true story).

You won't believe how many times I've thought “what can happen at an event like this?” only to discover that God is moving when we least expect it and people come to Christ.  Even on long weekends.

This could be one of those weekends!  Just saying….we're excited and we're expectant!

Plus we're granting peoples' wishes again Sunday!  Have you got yours in yet?

Here are the details.

Barrie | Galaxy Cinema – 72 Commerce Park Dr. Barrie | 8.30 & 10.00am

Part Three:  I Wish God Would Put an End to Evil :: Carey Nieuwhof
If God is good, why is there evil?  And regardless of how evil might have begun, if God is all powerful, why doesn’t he just end it now?  Those are great questions, and the bible offers a fascinating answer.
Orillia | Galaxy Cinema – 865 West Ridge Blvd. Orillia | 8.30 & 10.00am (Children’s programs offered at 10.00am)
Part Two:  I Wish God Would Speak Directly :: Carey Nieuwhof
Almost everyone wishes they would hear clearly, directly and unmistakeably from God.  Does he speak that way?  If God does, what do you need to do to hear from him.  If he doesn’t, why not?  Or maybe he’s granted your wish in way you didn’t expect.
Baptism on the Lake | Friday, August 12 | 6:30-8:30pm
Are you thinking about being baptized?  If you have  made a personal decision to trust Christ with your life recently, then your next step is to be baptized.  The application deadline is THIS SUNDAY! Don't miss out!  For more information about being baptized or the event itself click here.
