REFLECT

“God works all things out for good.” It’s one of those cliché phrases that Christians tend to dig up when they don’t know what else to say. We believe God IS good, but do we really believe that he works all things out for good?

Maybe part of the problem is that, when we dig this verse out of our back pocket, we only use half of it. “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God, and are called according to his purpose for them.”

I believe that our God revealed through Jesus is the ultimate redeemer. He loves all of us, he pursues us, and he has the power to take circumstances in which we see no hope and create something beautiful. This is the nature of who God is.

I also believe that something powerful happens when we take our focus off the circumstances surrounding us, and put our focus directly on the things God has called us to. When we boldly live out the calling that God has for us, it opens the door for God to do his work in a way that surpasses our greatest expectations.

Sometimes, when things are tough, it’s hard to see the hope in a situation. And sometimes, when things seem good, it’s difficult to see how things could get much better. No matter what the situation, when we boldly live out the calling God has for us, God will do a greater good than we’re capable of imagining.

BOTTOM LINE

When we submit ourselves to the calling God has for us, the good he will do is beyond  anything we could imagine.

LIVE

Live out the calling God has for you by praying, inviting and giving more boldly than ever. Through these things, God will do a tremendous work in us and in our communities – a work that will be greater than we can imagine.

PRAY

Pray that you would live out the calling God has for you in a way that is bolder than ever before.
