3 Ways You Can Get the Most Out Of The Problem of Jesus Series

At Connexus, we genuinely believe that nothing and no one changes lives like Jesus. We also know that you, your friends, and your neighbours are in different places on the journey of figuring that out. It’s that way for all of us, including me.

You also know that Jesus is someone that our culture wrestles with and even questions. Everyone has a different thought on Jesus.

He was a good person.

He was a prophet.

He was a fraud.

He didn’t exist.

He’s a crutch.

He’s not relevant.

The list could go on. There are so many questions about Jesus.

That’s why we’re so excited to have Mark Clark, author of the recently released book The Problem of Jesus, join us for a brand new series at Connexus.

Mark is so excited to be sharing with us for the next four weeks. Even a few of our Connexus network partner churches have jumped on board and are joining us from Peterborough, Toronto, and Truro, Nova Scotia.

We wanted to help you get the most out of the series as it kicks off on April 11th. So here are three ways we think you can get the most out of the series.

1. Get the book The Problem of Jesus (free if you are new to Connexus 😀)

In the book, Mark expands on the ideas and questions that so many people have about Jesus. While the series will be a good primer, the book goes into real depth and even covers some topics Mark won’t be able to during the series. Not only will you love it, but it’s a great book to pass on to someone else. The Problem of Jesus is available wherever books are sold. You can get it in paperback, Kindle, or audio. We don’t get a referral fee; we just think it will be helpful. 😀

If you are new to Connexus, live in Canada, and you’ll be joining us for the series, click here. We’d love to ship a copy to your front door as a gift from us.

2. Check out The Chosen television series app

If you haven’t discovered The Chosen series, you won’t regret it. I’m rarely (like never) a fan of Bible-based television or movies, but this one is different. Season One incredibly moved me and Season Two looks fantastic.

The Chosen is a television drama based on the life of Jesus Christ, created, directed and co-written by American filmmaker Dallas Jenkins. It is the first multi-season series about the life of Christ, and Season One was the highest crowd-funded TV series or film project of all time.

The acting, the writing, and the emotion are stunning. Most of all, it brings the person of Jesus alive in such a unique way. I think the series will impact anyone who opens their mind and heart, and it would be amazing to watch it alongside The Problem of Jesus series with Mark.

3. Invite someone to join you

The person of Jesus is intriguing to so many people in our culture. Often people have questions but don’t know where to ask them. Joining us for this series online is a great way for people to bring their curiosity anonymously. We meet closet Connexus online watchers regularly.

So, invite people personally. Then share the series on your social media when you see the promotional material and reminders come out. What if this was the series that someone you know took a step towards Jesus? One share can make all the difference.

The countdown is on! We can’t wait to have you on the journey of The Problem of Jesus this month.

If you are new to Connexus, live in Canada, and you are going to be joining us, we’d love to get a copy of Mark’s book in your hands for free. Just sign up here, and we’ll ship a copy directly to your front door.

I’m excited to see how your life changes as you discover more about Jesus and invite those around you to join us!
