Hip 2 B Holy Airs Next Week on Global

So…those of you who have been with us for a while know that for the first six months of our life together at Connexus, Global TV tracked us while filming the upcoming documentary called Hip 2 Be Holy.

It airs on Monday May 25th at 10:00 p.m. on Global.  Kevin Newman is narrating the one hour documentary.  It profiles a number of churches that are using the culture to reach the culture and having an impact with people under 30.  Connexus is one of those churches.

We haven't seen the documentary.  But we'll be watching next Monday along with everyone else (pretty sure I'll be closing my eyes alot and wondering "why on earth did I say that?").  It will be interesting to remember what we were like in our first six months.  Global did this documentary because they realize that spirituality is a key ingredient in so many people's lives, yet the media hardly talks about it.  They were also interested in why some churches were growing and reaching the next generation when others were not.

Here's what we're praying about:
  • Pray that God uses it to draw people to Himself.
  • Pray that people who are interested in Jesus but have given up on church would change their mind about church.

Looking forward to all that is ahead!

This an amazing documentary and at prime time praise our God. How can I get a copy of this documentary to share with our congregation in our Christian Missionary Church in Okotoks,Alberta. To be so visible through such a media is the biggest step that has been made to plant the seeds for a very long time. Canada is a Christian country from sea to sea and always will be.

Hey Lola. Thanks for the encouragement!

We don't have a copy either. It's not out on DVD and nothing has surfaced on Youtube yet.

When we know how to get a copy, we'll post the info or the link to the blog.
