It's my hope that this weekend is transformative for many of us. It's a story we know. But it's a story that comes alive when we own it, process it, and respond to it.
That's what we're going to try to do today and again Sunday.
Think about it…every other religion is the story of humanity's journey to God. But the Christian story is one of God's journey to humanity. And this weekend, we'll see the incredible price Jesus paid so you could have a relationship with God. We hope our Good Friday experience will give you some space to help you understand what that means for you personally and for the world.
Then on Easter Sunday we're going to talk about an event so powerful it means you can't just sit there. If Easter is just an idea, a belief system, a historic fact or a curiosity to you, this Sunday might shatter some paradigms. We've created an experience that we hope will completely change how you see Easter and respond to it.
Both services are perfect for friends. So bring them.
We meet at both our Orillia and Barrie Campuses at the Galaxy Cinemas
Good Friday at 10:00 a.m. (Waumba Land and Upstreet (birth – grade 5) provided)
Easter Sunday at 8:30 & 10:00 a.m. (All regular Sunday morning environments are running)
Make sure you come early to get a seat. And if you're able, please come to the 8:30 on Easter Sunday to make room for guests at 10.
We've been praying and asking God to move in the hearts of all of us and into our community. We can't wait to see what happens in you, through you and around all of us as we reflect on the greatest story of love the world has ever seen.
