This Weekend @ Connexus | November 7th, 2010

Well it looks like the snow has arrived!!! But hopefully not to stay!
We have another great Sunday planned this weekend! We're finishing up our series “Losing Your Religion” in Barrie and part 3 in Orillia. Come join us for a great morning!
Were getting ready to launch our new 3 week  series “Like Me”  in Barrie November 14th and in Orillia November 21st. Here's a taste: We’re in the midst of a social media revolution: between Facebook, Twitter, texting, direct messaging and more…we’re relating to each other in ways we never have before.  What are the implications?  In this series, we’ll look at the potential impact social media is having on our souls and on our relationships.”
Here's what's up this week:

Losing Your Religion | Part Four: Unfair And Uncomfortable (Andy Stanley)
Every religion recognizes our failures. In fact, we can label our failures as “mistakes,” but there's no denying that everyone falls short. Maybe it's unfair that we don't measure up, but it's true. Maybe it's uncomfortable that we needed help to get out of our mess, but it's true. The reality is this – we live in a broken world, and we're a part of it. So what did God do about it?

Losing Your Religion | Part Three: The Eight Commandments (Andy Stanley)
A famous Christian author once wrote that the world’s major religions have eight major themes, eight commandments in common. That list included loving others… respecting others… and being honest… among other ethical standards. So in light of those eight commandments, what makes Christianity so different?
