Last month we asked our staff this question: if you didn't get to
be in ministry anymore, what is the one thing that you would miss
terribly six months or a year down the road? I thought about the
question and the answer nailed me. More than preaching, certainly more
than being the "lead guy", more than anything else, what would eat at
me is this idea that I could no longer contribute to creating
environments that people who have never been to church and people who
have been in church all their lives could be in together.
One of the reasons I am so passionate about Connexus – okay, the main reason – I
am so passionate about Connexus is this core belief that somebody has
to create the kind of environment unchurched people feel comfortable
in. Jesus didn't just die for the church. He died for the world. The
world needs a place to be led into a growing relationship with Jesus.
So grateful we get to take yet another shot at that this weekend! So
grateful that you, too, are giving your lives to it!
Really pumped that Signs from Beyond is in
full swing this weekend. It's a great series for Christians and
non-Christians, the curious and the skeptical together to discover
together how God speaks to us today. Don't miss it! I'm having a
great time putting this series together because it's something I'm
pretty passionate about!

communication for us. When you begin to understand that channel of
communication, your relationship with God moves to much more solid
ground.
