This Weekend @ Connexus | April 11th, 2010

One of the things we love about being the church together is the music. Well, bring your air guitar with you Sunday for the launch of Everything I Needed to Know About Work I Learned from Classic Rock which launches at our Barrie Campus this week and April 18th in Orillia. The band will be in top form as we open the series with some serious BTO. We’ll take a biblical look at work while we’re at it. Bring some friends! It will be so much fun.

And in Orillia, we saved my favourite message in the Why God Says No Series for last. Join us as we wrap up the Why God Says No Series with a message called The Best Explanation – a fascinating look at the explanation Joseph gave for the pain and suffering in his life. So excited to share this message on Sunday.

In case you missed our earlier blog post this week – we’re facing some space issues. Easter Sunday we saw over 900 guests at our campuses. So thankful for that! If your family has the option of attending 8:30, that would help ease the 10:00 a.m. congestion we often experience. Thanks!

Either way, we’re really excited to see what God is doing. Here are more details for Sunday!

Everything I Needed To Know About Work I Learned From Classic Rock
Part 1 | Taking Care of Business

One of the major reasons people resent or resist work is that it’s so political. People climb over each other to get ahead – all in the name of power and self-fulfillment. No wonder we get sick of it and want to opt out. How should power be used? How should we take care of business? Jesus’ radical view on this turns things upside down.

Why God Says No
Part Three | The Best Explanation

So when tragedy strikes, what do you do? How do you interpret it? How do you explain the suffering you’re experiencing? This week, we’ll meet a man who chose a surprising explanation to help interpret an incredibly awful set of circumstances that came his way. The way he interpreted his situation gives us an insight that we ought to take seriously.

Service Times: 8:30-9:40 am & 10:00-11:10 am | Galaxy Theaters Orillia 865 West Ridge Blvd.

See you then!
