Thanks to all of you who have already made a gift to our Gifts That Keep on Giving opportunity for December. Our goal is to raise $125,000 to help us expand our ministry as we move into 2011. 10% of all we raise is being shared between two of our local mission partners – the Barrie Food Bank and the Lighthouse Christian Men's Shelter in Orillia. The balance of the money raised will be used to significantly upgrade our video ministry, expand our preschool environments in Waumba Land, enhance Xtreme and Inside Out, payback our start up loan and enhance other ministry environments.
The good news is that you've already given $70,000 toward our goal this month. That means we are $55,000 from finishing strong! We are asking you and every person that loves this church to make a year-end donation that will bridge the gap from where we are to where we need to be.
Most people think their gift will be insignificant and not help. You could not be further from the truth. Powerful things happen when each person takes a minute and asks God, “What do you want me to give this year-end?”
How can you give? Here are four ways to give before year end:
- In person – our office at 576 Bryne Drive (Unit P) in Barrie is open December 29th and 30th from 9-5.
- By phone…give us a call at 705.721.9090 December 29 or 30th (9-5). Ask for Julia…she'll be able to take donations by credit card.
- On-line. If you are registered for online bill pay, simply make a donation via your bank's web site or set yourself up to do that. Details are here.
- Via Canada Helps. Just click here to give online right away via our registration with Canada Helps. Their site is open 24/7 and you can still give right up till 11:59 p.m. December 31st to qualify for a 2010 tax receipt.
