Scripture: 2 Corinthians 9:6–8 (NLT)
“Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop, but the one who plants generously will get a generous crop…God loves a person who gives cheerfully.”
Reflection:
Paul uses farming language because generosity works like planting; what you release determines what grows. A farmer who keeps seed in his pocket never sees a harvest.
The same is true in life: If you sow generously, you’ll reap joy. It may not come back as dollars, but it always comes back as peace, gratitude, and blessing.
God loves a cheerful giver because cheerful giving shows freedom. Fearful giving says, “I might not have enough.” Cheerful giving says, “God has always been enough.”
Plant generously. You can’t outgive a God whose very nature is generous.
Bottom Line:
You don’t lose by giving; you grow.
Prayer:
Lord, help me sow with open hands and a cheerful heart. Amen.
