Revolutionary Assignments 2 + 3

Okay Connexus, you are ROCKING the house on Revolutionary Love

I can't tell you how generous you are being (stay tuned Christmas Eve when we'll announce totals), but you are responding with unbelievable action to our Revolutionary Love series. Thank you for a deep and honest engagement of the revolutionary nature of Jesus' love.  Your compassion is already being felt around the world.

Here are this week's assignments:

Revolutionary Assignment 2
Due Date:  Orillia December 7th

Take a Bite out of Malaria.  We
are partnering with the Red Cross’ Malaria Bites campaign.   This week,
enlist friends and neighbours to help purchase 1500 mosquito nets –
enough to purchase mosquito nets for each child in two schools in
Liberia, Africa.  One mosquito net costs only $7, and will save a
child’s life.  Go to this link
to buy a net or enlist your friends.  Talk to your friends on Facebook
or email some friends and neighbours and let them know they can help,
or pick up a kit this weekend in the foyer and talk to your friends in
person this week.

Revolutionary Assignment 3
Due Date: Barrie December 7th (Orillia, December 14th)

Build a Health Clinic – Clothe Families. Simply return a special "over and above" offering in the special Guatemala envelope available on campus to contribute to the costs of the health clinic.  The total cost of the clinic is $9250 CDN.

Your family can also go shopping this week to purchase jeans, socks and underwear.  Sizes from toddler through to men/women's small are needed.  Waistbands under 31" for men and women's size 0-4 are best for teens and adults.

“What good is it, dear
brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but don’t show it by
your actions? Can that kind of faith save anyone?  Suppose you see a
brother or sister who has no food or clothing, and you say, “Good-bye
and have a good day; stay warm and eat well”—but then you don’t give
that person any food or clothing. What good does that do?  So you see,
faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead
and useless.”  James 2:14-17
