Sunday Services In-Person

At Connexus, our vision is to create churches that unchurched people love, and engaging Sunday services are a big part of that.

We are super excited to relaunch in-person services starting with our Barrie Central Facility! (20 Mills Road)

Sunday Services
In-Person

We are super excited to relaunch in-person services starting at our Barrie Central Facility (20 Mills Rd.) beginning Sunday, August 1!

We are viewing the month of August as a “soft launch” phase while we rebuild our volunteer teams, with the goal of fully relaunching in Barrie by early September, with our other locations to follow. If you are ready, we would love to have you join us!

Here are a few important details about our in-person services:

  • We are following all Simcoe-Muskoka District Health Unit COVID-19 guidelines that apply to places of worship, including pre-registration, screening, masking, physical distancing, reduced capacity, and enhanced cleaning.
  • Everyone must make a reservation to attend a service. Please do so for yourself (and each member of your family, if applicable), and answer the screening questions as well. If you (or anyone in your family) cannot answer “I agree” to the screening questions, please stay home, watch online, and attend in-person at a later date.
  • Reservations will open each Sunday at noon for the following Sunday’s services.
  • We are offering limited children’s ministry for WaumbaLand (birth to SK) and UpStreet (grades 1-4). Please choose “Children’s Ministry” if you would like your kids to attend age-appropriate programming or “Auditorium Seating” if you want them to sit with you in the adult service. Our Transit (grades 5-8) environment will continue exclusively online until September.
  • Everyone 5 years and older must wear masks while lining up to enter the building and at all times inside. However, the stage area in the auditorium is considered a Not-for-Public-Access Area, and so those leading from the stage are not required to wear masks.
  • The doors will open 15 minutes before each service starts. Please arrive early to avoid line-ups or delays when entering the building.

  • Our guest experience team will guide you from the parking lot, through the check-in process, to finding a seat in the auditorium. Once seated, please refrain from switching seats or moving around, except to use a restroom.
  • After the service, our guest experience team will dismiss attendees in an orderly fashion. If you have kids in children’s ministry, send just one family member to pick them up. Please then exit the building promptly.
  • Hand sanitizer stations will be located in the foyer. You will be encouraged to use sanitizer as you enter the building.
  • We encourage you to greet each other with a friendly wave or smile. Please refrain from hugs and handshakes with other attendees.
  • During the service, we will no longer be passing offering buckets. While online giving is the easiest method, a debit/credit card giving terminal and cash/cheque drop-off will be available in the foyer.
