How to Make Your Easter Season Meaningful

How do you make the most of Easter? Spiritually I mean.

A few years ago I began to look for simple ways to connect with God differently over the Easter season.

So, in order to help you connect with Him in a new way as you head into the Easter season, I thought I’d share a few tools with you that have helped me.

My experience has been that getting into your Bible is the best way to connect with God.

YouVersion has lots of Easter reading plans to choose from here. If you are looking for a recommendation, I used this 9-Day devotional by Tim Keller last year. It was simple, but it spoke to me.

Reading the Book of Luke can also be great. It has 24 chapters and you can read one a day for 24 days. After Easter, jump into Acts. It’s amazing to see the launch of the first church after the resurrection of Jesus!

Another great tool can be a devotional type book. My grandmother gave me A Violent Grace by Michael Card years ago and it’s still an Easter favourite this time of year. You can find it here.

Music has always been a great way for me to connect with God, too. Here are a few songs that focus on Easter that we love at Connexus. I thought I’d share them with you as well.

Resurrecting by Elevation
Remembrance by Hillsong
Death was Arrested by North Point’s InsideOut
Mighty Cross by Elevation
Good Grace by Hillsong

I want to see you grow, so I thought I would share these tools. My challenge to you is to pick 1 way that you are going to put a little extra effort into connecting with God this Easter. I believe He wants to speak to you in a unique way.

Let’s pray for God move this Easter.
