Scripture: Matthew 6:19–24 NLT
“You cannot serve both God and money.”
Reflection:
Money whispers promises it can’t keep. Promises of security, identity, control. Jesus isn’t anti-money; he’s anti-bondage. Serving money looks like anxiety, comparison, or constant striving. Serving God looks like peace.
You can use money to serve your purpose, or let it use you to serve its own. The choice of master determines your measure of freedom. When Christ owns your heart, money becomes a tool for good instead of a test of worth.
Each act of generosity re-declares who your true Master is.
Bottom Line:
What you serve will shape who you become.
Prayer:
God, I choose you as my Master. Free me from the grip of more. Amen.
