23 Stories

I'm sure you already know about our big day Friday.  23 people are being baptized at our Baptism by the Lake service Friday, August 12 from 6:30-8:30.
I know that for every person stepping into the water for baptism tomorrow, the baptism will be an incredible marker on their faith journey.
It's a really significant journey for us as a community too.  When you answer a call to be a church unchurched people love to attend, it's so powerful to see lives impacted as the vision is realized.
Each baptism is a person's story…and over the next few months at our campuses, you'll hear their stories.   You'll get to know their names and see how God has touched them and changed their lives.
I'd love for us to think of each person not as a number, but to think of them by name.  And when we think of their names, to think of their stories.  Because I'm pretty sure that's what God does.
Many didn't attend church three years ago.  Some whole families have been changed.  Mothers are being baptized with daughters, fathers with their children.  We're even baptizing one entire family.  So powerful.
