When Life Gets Hard: How to Stay Encouraged

There are times when it feels like everything is going against us and we don't know how we will make it through.

Life throws you a curveball, and sometimes worse – what then?

Sometimes it feels like you can barely keep your head above water, let alone stay encouraged. But as Christians, we have hope. We know that God is with us and will never leave us. In this blog post, we will discuss some ways to stay encouraged when life gets tough.

First, it is important to remember that you are not alone. God is with you and will never leave you. When things are tough, turn to Him in prayer and ask for His strength and guidance.

“Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.” – Deuteronomy 31:8 NLT

Second, focus on where God HAS blessed you. It can be easy to dwell on the negative, but try putting some focus on the good things in your life. Count your blessings and be thankful for what you do have, no matter how small it may seem.

“Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Third, reach out to others. Talk to a friend or family member who will offer support and encouragement. Sometimes all we need is someone to lend a listening ear.

“Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ.” – Galatians 6:2 NLT

Fourth, stay involved in your church community. Church can be a great source of encouragement and strength, especially during difficult times. Even if you are not local to Connexus Church, get connected with a church near you. Not sure where to start? Leave a comment!

“For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.” – Matthew 18:20

Finally, don't give up. Life is full of ups and downs, but if we keep our faith strong, we will make it through the tough times. So when life gets hard, remember these tips and stay encouraged. God is with you!
