What We Believe About Salvation

This one’s huge, friends.  Many people today think all paths are equal, or that there are many paths to God.  Here’s what we believe:

We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Therefore, salvation occurs only when people place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin.

Talk about a counter-cultural message (I’ll be preaching on this subject in part two of Not Actually Jesus, June 6th in Barrie and June 13th in Orillia).  What do you think?  What part of this is hard to accept?  What impact can this belief have on your spiritual walk?
