How is it even possible that Jesus tells us to fear not? Could he have actually believed that was possible?
Our fears can vary from irrational fears like hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia (yes, that's a real phobia) known as the fear of long words (you see the irony there?), to completely rational, biological fear like staring down a grizzly after coming between her and her cub.
It is even possible to “fear not”? Jesus seemed to think so. But how?
After all, if Jesus really was human as well as God, he must have felt fear.
In your day to day life, what do you fear? Maybe you fear pain. Maybe you fear losing a loved one. Maybe you fear freak accidents, losing control or being disliked.
