I first met Warren in the spring of 2015.
The launch of the new Connexus Church Central facility was fast closing in, and Warren had signed up to volunteer on the production team. We met at Tim Hortons, and there was one thing that struck me right away – his passion.
Everything that Warren talked about he discussed with a voracity that lit up every part of him. He is a passionate guy – and it radiated from him.
I set Warren up in a brand new and difficult role with a steep learning curve on the production team – and he bit into it and excelled.
More compelling to me though, was the influence and impact he had on the others on the team around him. Even though he was a relatively new Christian himself – his heart for others to know how deeply Christ loves them was magnetic. Warren often comes alongside those on the team who are hurting, and tells them how important they are to God, that they matter and are loved in a deep way.
I’ve seen Christ move through Warren in this way many times, and was so excited when we received his baptism application – even more excited when he asked if I would be the one to baptize him on January 31st, 2016. I was honoured.
Ever since then, it’s been my privilege to continue to walk alongside Warren, not only to see him always learning and growing personally, but also inspiring others along the way.
If you have a desire to publicly declare your faith through baptism, take your next step right here.
