January marks the time of year when many of us choose to make some changes; changes in our diets, activities, spending habits and other lifestyle choices. For example, my daughter Megan has us working out 5-6 times a week at home and man she is tough! “The Biggest Loser” is tame in comparison.
Making choices that can improve our health and lifestyle are worthwhile, but what if the best choice you make in 2013 isn't something you'd typically pick as a resolution? What if joining a community group is the best decision you make all year? I'd like to personally invite you to GroupLink, an event we host a couple times per year at each campus. Not only because of the experience you'll have but because of what it could lead to. Our mission at Connexus is “Help lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.” We believe that we can't grow spiritually unless we are connected relationally.
That's where GroupLink comes in. It's here where you can get connected into a community group.
Q. Why is community so important to your spiritual life?
- I'll say it again, because you can't grow spiritually unless you're connected relationally.
- God designed you that way.
- God wants to use other people to grow you.
- God wants you to grow other people.
