If you joined us this morning, you know it was a powerful time gathering online. We loved connecting with you on social media and in the chatrooms, etc. If you missed the service, you can see it here. Let’s remember to share the hope we have!
In the interest of continuing to be wise and proactive in our response to COVID-19, we wanted to let you know that we are officially canceling the physical gathering of all Connexus mid-week ministries until further notice. That includes all Small Groups, Starting Point Groups, Student Ministry events, volunteer meetings, and NEXT.
At the same time, we know that finding community is very important at a time like this. It’s harder to grow spiritually if you aren’t connected relationally. Community is important to your mental, spiritual, and emotional health. So here’s what we’re encouraging you to do:
While you aren’t connecting physically, don’t isolate yourself. Stay connected.
- Connect with us online on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. More specifically, you can join our campus specific Facebook groups (Barrie, Midland, Orillia) to connect with the people from your location. Jeff will be sharing an online devotional for you later in the week, too.
- Your Small Group Leader has the information on how to connect online as a group and will be in touch. It’s a great option too.
- Text or call friends and family. If you can, connect on FaceTime.
- Pray for the people in your circle.
We will continue to provide services online each Sunday and have a good system in place to make that possible. We can’t wait to see you online with us next weekend.
Here’s the good news – Connexus isn’t the building, it’s the people. Let’s be agents of hope and reach out to those around us (including each other). Let’s be FOR the people around us who are facing fear. Let’s be Jesus in a time when our communities need it.
Praying for you and in your corner.
