Your Input: A Slogan for Connexus

Thanks for your input on our logo last week.  A final decision will be announced shortly (we bought more time with our production people).

Not only do we need a logo, we’d like a slogan.

A slogan is a way of identifying a church, product, or company in a few, simple words.  it should convey a message that makes people want to know more — to join in, to investigate, even change their mind about church.  After all, most people believe in God, they just don’t think church can help them.

A slogan stands for something.  Think of Nike.  You know their slogan.  Home Depot.  Chances are you know theirs, too.

Primarily, we want a slogan to convey a message to your friends (not to us, who are already part of the community). So think of it in terms of a billboard, a flyer in your home, a tag line on a website, even the final words of a radio ad.  That’s how a slogan gets communicated.  And think about whether it is a phrase you would use to tell your friends about the church.

So, are you ready?

Our team wrote up a bunch of slogans and narrowed it down to three we like.  This week, we’d like you to review them, comment on them, and maybe even suggest your own.  We’ll review all the posts and then, at the end, make the best decision we can (this is not a "vote", we just thought you’d have some awesome insights.)

So, here are our three, in no particular order:

Connexus Community Church.  Designed with you in mind.

Connexus Community Church.  Designed with real life in mind.

Connexus Community Church.  Real life.  Real Simple.

By the way, we have googled our three candidates and realize they are
all in use in one form or another (what isn’t these days?), but as far as we know not widely or currently by
any large companies or churches.

That’s it.  Get your creative juices flowing, and post back!
