Why You Need Guardrails, Not Just On The Road

Guardrails - Connexus

This week in Barrie we’re excited to welcome Andy Stanley back to the screen as we start a brand new series “Guardrails”! (It’s not too late to invite a friend!)

We see guardrails every day on our commutes, our trips to the grocery store, and on our way to dropping our kids off at school. For the most part, you ignore them – unless you hit one. Then, chances are you’re extremely grateful it was there.

But what if the road wasn’t the only place we really needed guardrails? Areas of our lives where we’re tempted to walk the line, but inside are fearful of the consequences of stepping over? Andy asks some great questions this week as we begin to look at why setting up guardrails in our lives is not only wise, but necessary.

In Orillia, we’re wrapping up Like it Or Love it with a fantastic week and a challenge that might just change the way you think about God, and love, forever. This will be a fantastic week to invite a friend, we’re looking forward to seeing you Sunday!

Barrie Campus | Guardrails | Part 1: Direct and Protect

Nobody plans to enter into a violent marriage. Nobody plans to ruin his or her finances. Nobody plans to struggle with an addiction. What steps do you take to make sure these things don’t happen? Set up guardrails. You can tell yourself that you’ll “be careful.” Well, setting up guardrails is how you “be careful.”

Orillia Campus | Like It Or Love It | Part 6: Surprise Ending

To love others is so challenging. Why is it so difficult?  Why is it so much easier to like instead of love? Your motivation to love dramatically increases when you realize a central surprise about the Gospel.  It’s a surprise that, when discovered, has changed millions of lives.

Hi Connexus! I would love it if the music was in the podcasts as well!
I just watched part 6 of Like it or love it with my 2 boys at home because of a family matter this morning we didn’t make to Orillia.
We were looking forward to hearing the last song with our eyes closed and ‘nothing’.
Please give it some thought as to how we can listen to music at home! Thanks for your consideration!
    Have a great week!

Hi Cheryl…I feel for you! That’s one of the restrictions we current have: copyright and technology. However, during Bold we committed to funding an online campus. When we launch it, it will include music. So just hang on…a solution’s coming. And thanks to everyone who is helping to make Bold a reality!
