What are you doing Sunday?

–>
Hello again friends!  I trust that things went well at your place last night for Halloween.  What a great time to meet neighbours and make friends!  I always look forward to getting a chance to chat with friends over some chocolate.  As we handed out a little candy last night I couldn’t help but think that it’s going to be great inviting some of these neighbours to our launch in just a few short weeks.

"It’s Thursday . . . but Sunday’s a coming!"  (That doesn’t sound right.)  We wanted to make sure that people were aware that our leadership team isn’t hosting services this weekend but there are a number of great options for you as we approach this "gap weekend’ in our launch schedule.   Here are some things that people are up to this Sunday:

Meet with Your Community Group – Some of our groups are meeting on Sunday morning this week.  You’ll need to check in with your leader.  I know our group is looking forward to pulling together.  We’re going to pray for Connexus, thank God for what he is doing in our church and catch up on this last week.

Visit another Local Church – Take some time to check out another church in our region.  There are a number of other churches that have been supportive to us in this time of transition.  Why not drop in on one of these churches this weekend?  Trinity Community Presbyterian Church – Rev. Dr. Neal Mathers is speaking. Let’s support our continuing Trinity friends!  Harvest Bible Chapel – Barrie – These guys are great.    Emmanuel Baptist Barrie – If you haven’t checked out their campus – you should some time.  Mapleview Community Church – Barrie – Huge hearts!  First Baptist Orillia – Their pastor won a "top 35 under 35 award" this year.  Bethel Orillia – Our closest new church neighbours in Orillia.

Take some time with family! – We value family relationships big time at Connexus.  We really do think that God uses family relationships all the time to pass along spiritual heritage.  Take some time this weekend to do something really special with your family.  Find ways to say thank you to your kids for what they’ve taught you in the last year.  Clean up a park by your house together.  Visit a member of your extended family you haven’t seen in a while.

This is the only Sunday in November that we don’t have something planned.  Remember that on November 11th we have a training event for all of our volunteers in Barrie.  Plan to be there.  It’s going to be important!

Have a great day today!  If we can help in anyway – don’t hesistate to contact us!
