This Weekend @ Connexus | June 6th, 2010

So we are into full gear with our new series "Not Actually Jesus". It's a perfect series to invite friends to, as it's all about what Christianity is actually about. But the series is also for Christians, because sometimes we cling to beliefs that are, well, not actually Jesus. Here's what I believe: the more we cooperate with truth, the more we'll be able to grow spiritually. The more we believe what's actually true and real, the better our life goes. So over five weekends, we're hoping to reorient many lives around what God is really all about.

Part One, Sincerely Wrong, generated a lot of buzz as we challenged the idea that truth is relative and sincerity is what matters most. Part Two – Nice People Go to Heaven – might generate even more healthy discussion. And, make sure you check out our blog: on it is a series of posts designed to help us all understand what we believe about God, salvation, the church and more.

So…don't miss Sunday! It's going to be fun, maybe a bit controversial, and engaging. Here are the details….

Not Actually Jesus | Part Two: Nice People Go to Heaven
What qualifies you for heaven? Is being "nice" enough? What if nice or good isn't actually the standard? What if nice people can end up in hell? This week, we'll look at what the Bible says about salvation, why it matters, and why the tryth might actually be a relief to believers and non-believers alike.

Not Actually Jesus | Part One: Sincerely Wrong
Why does truth matter? If you believe one thing, and I believe another, who really cares? Does it matter? This week, we'll look at why truth trumps sincerity. We'll look at what can happen if you're sincere in your beliefs, but you're also sincerely wrong.

Service Times: 8:30-9:40 am & 10:00-11:10 am | Galaxy Theaters Orillia 865 West Ridge Blvd.
