This Weekend @ Connexus

Hey, I'm actually quite excited about this weekend.  Really pumped about bringing Part Three of Jesus the Guru in Barrie (if you ever wondered whether there is only one way to God and how that's possibly even fair, don't miss this).   And in Orillia, I'm jazzed about getting a chance to move through Part Two of the series in full form!

I am even more excited by how many people we've seen inviting their friends out.  (Remember, the gift cards toward lunch are available all series long). We are starting to run into space issues in kids ministry in Orillia (we love problems like that) and it's just fantastic to dialogue with a number of first timers at both campuses recently.  God is moving.

We'll also be sharing some exciting news at both campuses I think you'll be thrilled to hear about. So don't miss it.

Here's the skinny:

Orillia Campus | 8:30 and 10:00 a.m.
Jesus the Guru – Part Two – What Can Christians Learn from the East?
With
the appeal of Eastern religions, there must be something Christians can
learn from the East.  Are there some aspects of genuine spiritual
engagement that the East does better than the West?  How can we in the
West learn from the East, and where does Jesus fit into all that?  Join
the dialogue this Sunday at Connexus, and bring your friends.

Barrie Campus | 8:30 and 10:00 a.m.
Jesus the Guru – Part Three – What Can the East Learn from Jesus?

Eckhart Tolle, in his Oprah-endorsed best selling book A New Earth,
claims the messengers of Buddha, Jesus and other prophets were
humanity’s “early flowers” and that a higher consciousness is arising.
Is that all Jesus was?  What else did Jesus bring that followers of
eastern spirituality might benefit from or need to deal with?  This
weekend, we’ll look square on at Jesus’ claims about truth.

Looking forward to experiencing God together this weekend.
