Love Moves is a part of the Student Ministry at Connexus where students reach out and love their church community, their local community, and their global community. This year, over their March Break, 19 students and 5 leaders are embarking on an 8-day compassion trip to love the global community of Antigua, Guatemala. Students will have the possibility of working with children in an orphanage, will provide a week long day camp free for all children in the community, serve food to the city’s homeless population and more. As each one prepares for the experience, we pray that God softens their hearts and begins to open their eyes to what He is teaching them. When we serve like Jesus on the outside, we become more like Him on the inside.
The verse team is inspired by 1 John 3:16-18
“This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.”
