Hotseat – Time of Your Life | This Weekend at Connexus!

Every once in a while a story comes along that impacts people deeply.  Ask anyone who was at our Barrie campus last weekend – you won’t want to miss Randall’s story.  Randall’s story is part of the wrap up of Time of Your Life this weekend in Orillia.  You will want to make sure you don’t miss it!  Trust me.

Some exciting things in Barrie too – the Hotseat series launches.  We’re going to tackle some of the questions out there…head on, no flinching.  Don’t miss week one.  We’re looking forward to some great discussion over the next month.

It’s a perfect Sunday at either campus  to bring your friends with you!

Carey mentioned in the service how God was a God of Judgement in the old Testament and a God of Love for the New. I did something different this year; I read through the bible in a chronological order. After getting through the Old Testament my question wasn’t “Why did a loving God order the destruction of the nations and Isreal”, but it became “Why would a God of Love let these nations and Isreal survive as long as He did.” The level of corruption, from top government official to the ordinary joe was unbelievable. From human sacrifices to stealing from the offerings to God on the altars, to the oppression of widows and orphans and the killings of the folks you didn’t like. Canada seems like paradise in comparison. The only places that I could think of would be Pakistan or some 3rd World dictatorial country. I no longer wonder about God`s patience towards men, instead I`m amazed at it.
