Connexus Responds To The Crisis In Guatemala

When it comes to global compassion, one of the places Connexus is involved is in the country of Guatemala.  Not only have we been a part of a number of projects in Guatemala, but also many people in our community have gone there to serve.  Most recently a team of students from InsideOut (Grade 9-12) were a part of a Compassion Trip to Antigua, Guatemala.

Many of you may have seen the devastation in Guatemala as a result of a volcano eruption and a tropical storm in that country over past weeks.  Mudslides in particular have destroyed parts of the country and taken lives.  As we announced last week, as a community we wanted to react to the crisis in Guatemala, so we’ve decided to send $2500 to “Youth With A Mission” in Antigua to help with expenses and aid as a result of the crisis.  Please continue to be in prayer for the people in the hardest struck areas of Guatemala as they continue rebuild.
