Community Groups Rock!

Our community group had it's Christmas party last night, and I don't think I've laughed so hard in months.  I'm not sure anyone in our small group has laughed that hard in a long time.  It was so much fun, so good, so awesome, for Toni and I to get together with seven others we mostly didn't know well (and none of whom really knew each other) just three months ago.

At the heart of Connexus are community groups.  When church is big on the weekends, we all kind of crave a deeper and more intimate connection.  That's what community groups are all about, and that's where we want all of you to end up.

To learn more about groups check out this page on our site.  A community group is where ultimately everyone of us can connect in a much smaller setting, growing our relationship with God and growing our relationship with each other.  Deep down, each of us wants to know God and each other, and we want to be known by God and each other.  That's what community groups foster more than anything.  We pray for each other, open the bible together, grow together spiritually, care for each other, and do life together.

Starting right now, those of you who are in group can actually download small group curriculum questions based on the weekend message at Connexus.  You can access both the message and the questions for free off our website, every week.  Check it out.

When people ask how to connect more personally at Connexus, you'll always hear us point you to group.  Your chance to join a community group comes up January 25 and 26th at our next Group Link Event.  I hope you'll book the nights now.  Watch for more details soon.

In the meantime, I'm just loving this group.  I hope you'll love yours too!
