Can you be fully known, and also fully loved?
It’s a question we’ve been asking over the last couple weeks at Connexus, and some of the conversation that has come out of asking that question has been amazing.
All of us has a natural, instinctual reaction to hide the things we are most ashamed of, even from the people we are closest to.
After all, who doesn’t have secrets right?
Aren’t they just a normal part of life? Things that we don’t necessarily need to disclose to those around us, and things that we knew it probably wouldn’t be pretty if we did?
It’s a natural part of our social interactions. But over time it can become a weight. Become a fear of being found out.
Something that holds us back rather than pushing us forward.
What if there was a lie underneath all of that. What if we could live free, completely out in the open, hiding nothing?
It seems intimidating, but isn’t there a part of us that wonders if it would be freeing?
What if we could be fully known and fully loved? We’re asking that question as we wrap up “If You Only Knew” in Barrie and continue with Part 3 in Orillia!
If You Only Knew – Part 4 – Fully Known. Fully Loved | Carey Niewuhof
So what if someone knew everything? Everything. Would they hate you? Reject you? The truth is Someone does know everything. And He loves you. The question is, how do you respond?

If You Only Knew – Part 3 – Runaway | Carey Niewuhof
Because of our sin, so many of us spend our time isolated from God and from others. We run. We run because we believe the lie that we can’t be fully known and fully loved. And yet as we run from God, we discover something utterly astonishing. That while we were running from God, he was running to us.
