A Growing Student Community

November was an incredible month for the Connexus Student Ministry with 2 huge retreats at Ontario Pioneer Camp.  For Xtreme (Grade 6-8) it was our first ever retreat since the launch of Connexus.  For InsideOut (Grades 9-12) it was our second, and it was even sweeter than the first!

The weekend was full of lots of incredible memories.  Crazy wide-games, high ropes, archery, sports, gladiator-like sock pull competitions, singing our hearts out, and experiencing more of what God wants for us is just a short list of the highlights.
Our student community continues to grow not only in momentum, but also in depth of relationships.  It was amazing to see friends encouraging one another, and leaders investing in their small groups, as we all looked to take steps forward in our faith.

A special thanks to our volunteer leaders who give of their time each week to make a difference in the lives of students, to their spouses who “hold the fort” at home, to our parents who partner with us and trust us with their “precious cargo” for the weekend, and to our Connexus community for believing in students.  As families and Connexus partner together, we’re seeing God transform lives!
