Prayer to me is a bit mysterious. I don’t have it all figured out. I don’t want to ever assume in prayer that God wants what I want. I don’t ever want to treat God like a genie in a bottle. I don’t ever want to barge into the presence of God with my last minute requests & then blame Him when things don’t go my way…. but I do, especially when I think my ideas were good, they were grand, they were “for the kingdom”!
I’m a dreamer…I dream big especially when it comes to what I would consider good things but do I pray big? It’s a good question. I’m not Moses, Abraham, Nehemiah, David or Paul of the Bible, I’m just me. How can I pray with the same boldness that these men of the Bible did?
When I’m not sure I have a bold enough prayer I start this way and you could too.
Thank you for all you have done for me. I praise you for all that you are…one of those being a God who honours boldness. Take away any fear that I have of coming before you with my dreams. Grant me boldness to come before you with praise as my Saviour.
