In just one week (March 6th!) our team of 19 will be travelling to Antigua, Guatemala! They’ve been preparing themselves to serve and their hearts to be opened.
Today, we’d like you to get to know 5 more awesome students: Christian, Kyle, Alex, Rachel and Chris! Here’s a little bit about them.
City: Gravenhurst (Orillia Campus)
Favourite Subject: Co-op – Christian is working in a kindergarten class and he loves it!
Outside of school Christian loves to: Travel, serve in Waumba, swim and work at the YMCA.
Random fact about Christian: He ran a 5km race when he was 11 with Team Diabetes for his little brother who has diabetes.
What Christian likes most about InsideOut: He likes InsideOut because of the way everything is made easy to understand. Everyone is caring and the environment is engaging.
What Christian hopes God does in him on this trip: He hopes God teaches him how to help people in new and more effective ways. He hopes this trip strengthens his relationship with God and helps him build strong relationships with the other team members.
City: Bracebridge (Orillia campus)
Favourite Subject: Phys ed, Law class.
Outside of school Kyle loves to: Enjoy playing Hockey, Baseball, sports.
Random fact about Kyle: Enjoy old TV shows, M.A.S.H, Gilligans Island etc.
What Kyle likes best about Inside Out: He loves having the group of friends that he can trust and feel safe. The games are pretty fun, too!
What Kyle hopes God does in him on this trip: He hopes that God uses him to better other people’s lives. He hopes he can see a little more of the plan that He has for his life.
Favourite Subject: Anthropology/Sociology/Psychology
Outside of school Alex loves to: Read, hang out with friends, play video games, watch movies.
Random fact about Alex: He has parasailed in another country (Mexico).
What Alex likes most about InsideOut: Hanging with his friends and having small group with them.
What Alex hopes God does in him on this trip: He hopes that God will let him impact as many lives as possible and that this trip will really have an impact on his mindset of everyday life.
Favourite Subject: Psychology, math, outdoor rec.
Outside of school Rachel loves to: Dance, snowboarding, youth group, being with family and friends.
Random fact about Rachel: I can pick my elbow.
What Rachel likes most about Insideout: The amazing friendships and connections she’s made with all of the people at youth. She loves the fact that she’s constantly learning new things about herself and about God and that she knows she can talk about those things with her amazing small group and youth friends.
What Rachel hopes God does in her on this trip: On this trip she wants to grow in her faith, she wants God to show her what He wants her to see and what she can do to serve Him. Rachel hopes God does something to the people she meets and serve in Guatemala through her.
Favourite Subject: Math/Art
Outside of School Chris loves to: Be physically active, build, run, flip and play! He also plays video games (a lot more then he should.)
Random Fact about Chris: Chris is able to do a back flip, as well as many other gymnastic tricks he’s taught himself in his backyard.
What Chris likes most about InsideOut: He likes being in the small group setting and hearing other opinions from his small group that he might not have thought of on his own.
What Chris hopes God does in him on this trip: He hopes He can show him what it truly means to be a servant leader.

Love Moves is part of our student ministry that celebrates serving the church, the local community and the global community. We have a team of 14 InsideOut (grade 9-12) students and 5 leaders, ready to go serve in Guatemala! Thanks to all those who have been supporting us along the way. We truly believe that when we serve like Jesus on the outside, it changes our hearts to be more like Jesus on the inside.

“This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with
