2 Easy Ways to Get Closer to God

Looking to get closer to God?

It sounds simpler than it might feel. Maybe you’ve been trying, but it just doesn’t feel like you’re connecting? Maybe you just feel stuck.

What if there were two easy ways that, over time, would help you get connected with God, and maybe even build a relationship with him?

There’s good news, it’s not as complicated as you might think:

    1. Prayer. Are you praying regularly? Try and carve out 5 minutes each day to just sit back and talk to God. It doesn’t have to be flowery, you don’t need the right words. Just talk to him, tell him how you’re feeling. Share your joys, and your struggles. He’s listening.
    2. Read your bible. Last week in Barrie, and this week in Orillia, we shared some simple ways to begin reading your bible each day. Don’t miss out!
Over time, these two small, simple things will help you build a deep, thriving relationship with your Heavenly Father. What’s holding you back? Take five minutes right now and get started today!

We’re so excited to continue the dialogue this weekend with our series “Accomplished” and an added bonus, if you bring a new guest throughout January, we have something extra special just for them. Stop by Guest Services with your friend and they’ll head home with a free copy of Parenting Beyond Your Capacity by our Lead Pastor, Carey Nieuwhof.

We’re passionate about seeing families win, and we hope your friends would find this resource helpful!

It’s going to be a great Sunday, we’ll see you at the Galaxy Cinemas in Barrie and Orillia!
