This is one of those weekends you don't want to miss.  In Orillia, we're wrapping up Andy Stanley's Losing Your Religion…an amazing series that helps people sort through what faith really is.  In Barrie, we start a brand new series on…are you ready…social media and faith called Like Me.
It's a great weekend to bring your friends.  Andy has an amazing closing message for Losing Your Religion in Orillia.  Then this weekend in Barrie and next weekend in Orillia, Like Me is going to start with a bang:
  • You really don't want to be late for the series start of Like Me.  The band opens with something that's going to be so much fun, and so surprising.  If you come early, we're even going to let the fun begin five minutes before the services starts.
  • We want to help you nurture your friendships and create a great environment to invite your friends into.  So we're giving away a trip to Great Wolf Lodge and sharing gift cards you can use to take your friends out to lunch after church.  For more info click here.
  • We're showing baptism stories.  It brings into focus why we do what we do, and what happens when God intersects our lives with his love.

Like Me | Week One:  All About Me (Carey Nieuwhof)
You can publish a lot of information about yourself on line.  Between your profile, your photos and a constant stream of updates about what you’re up to lurks a question: does social media fuel narcissism?  What can you do to guard your soul against your online presence being all about you?

Losing Your Religion | Part Four: Unfair And Uncomfortable (Andy Stanley)
Every religion recognizes our failures. In fact, we can label our failures as “mistakes,” but there’s no denying that everyone falls short. Maybe it’s unfair that we don’t measure up, but it’s true. Maybe it’s uncomfortable that we needed help to get out of our mess, but it’s true. The reality is this – we live in a broken world, and we’re a part of it. So what did God do about it?
